The men of the Nigerian Army and the Police have taken over the Edo State House of Assembly complex in Benin City, the state capital.
Dozens of the security officials stormed the complex this Thursday morning, August 6, while patrol vehicles were stationed there, according a Channels Television report.
“The police officers were led to the Assembly by a Deputy Commissioner of Police (Operations), Ayoola Ajala,” the report said.
Unconfirmed source said that nformation filtered into the state that the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its former National Chairman, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, have mobilised Police from Abuja, the nation’s capital, to replace the officers from the Edo State Police Command stationed at the Anthony Enahoro complex of the Edo State House of Assembly…..
