Kanu’s parents buried amidst tranquility, sympathy from IPOB, federal politicians, others

The parents of Nnamdi Kanu, the IPOB leader have been buried at their Isiama Afaraukwu Ibeku in Umuahia North LGA amidst sympathy from IPOB members, politicians of note, traditional rulers and others.

The politicians include Godfrey Onyemobi (APC), Amb. Empire Kanu (PDP), Tony Ukasoanya (PDP), Sen. Victor Umeh (APGA), Sen. Enyi Abaribe (PDP), and Peter Obi, former governor of Anambra (PDP).

Others are traditional rulers, including HRH Eze Edward Ibeabuchi of Okwulaga Afara, HRH Eze Dan Egbogu of Okwuta Ibeku, HRH Eze John Ibezim of Amuzukwu Ibeku, HRH Abel Ezigbo, of Ossah Ibeku, HRH Eze Philip Ajomiwe of Oriendu of Ohuhu and HRH Eze Ralph Mbagwu of Ubakala.

IPOB barrister, Ifeanyi Ejiofor was also there.

Delivering his homily, the Anglican Bishop of Umuahia Diocese, Rt. Rev. Geoffrey Obijuru Ibeabuchi said death will come when it will even with guns ir not, pointing out that death knows no pains.

Speaking on behalf of other politicians at the burial, the Senator representing Abia South, Sen. Enyi Abaribe watered the already tensed up environment by simply stating that “death does not know those to kill, otherwise, it will not kill I. O. and the wife”.
