Abia poly alumni supports institution’s reforms

The alumni association of Abia State Polytechnic ABA, have unianimously supported the recent reforms, right sizing of the institutions workforce and reviving processes going in the institution. In a press release dated September 9th 2019 and jointly signed by the National President Comrade Festus Amaogu, National Secretary Comrade Bartholomew Nzeako and the P.RO. Comrade Ben Osuagwu. it says.

The National Executives and Members of the Abia State Polythecnic Alumni Association wish to align with the Governor of Abia State , Dr Okezie Victor Ikpeazu, the Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Chinedum Orji, the entire members of the Assembly and the Management of Abia State Polythecnic, Aba led by Professor Friday Ezionye Eboh on the implemention of the recommended reforms to right size the workforce, settle issues of non payment of salaries, reposition of management and resolution of other issues towards restructuring of the institution and restoring its glory.

While we sympathize with some of our members and other staff of the institution affected by these reforms, we wish to urge them to see it as sacrifice for the betterment of our Alma mater as we wish them well in any other endeavors.

We also urge the state government to timely release statutory subventions of the institution while the management ensures prudence in the affairs of the institution going forward, so as not to let the sacrifice made by all affected be in vain.

To our students and intending students, we urge you to keep faith with the institution in line with our motto “Towards Excellence in Technology” to continue providing qualitative higher education and morals.

Once again, the Alumni as the First Stakeholders, reaffirm our support for honest and pragmatic approach towards the restoration of the glory of our Alma mater.
