Abaribe Mourns….

Ooh! Nwabo..Ogunji Nwabo: What Can I Say?

……..A part of my history sleeps, Yet yours is an endless memory…. Abaribe

“It is too hard for me now. I’m benumbed to pen down this reaction. I’m too shocked and weakened in my heart to refer to you in past tense.

“Together we marched on, it was a rough path, lined with thorns, in it we encountered the low and witnessed the high, we courageously kept marching on to achieve the ultimate goal, to which the light has started showing.

“How can this candle be burnt out now?

“Nwabo; ours was a seeming inseparable bond, but your sudden death that ugly Saturday night, left me with sour taste and broken heart, that it took me one whole day to come to terms and face the reality of your final exit from this world to be with the Lord.

“I’m still in shock, my family is mourning, our allies seem confused and short of words.

Ogunji, you were brave, courageous and bold. Such were your signature attributes that will strengthen and console us in this hour of deep pain and grief over your sudden departure from this ethrel realm.

Adieu my brother, my friend and my ally. Sleep on till we meet again on that resurrection morning.

Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe
