IKPEAZU MOURNS THE PASSAGE OF EZE ISREAL NWABEKE

The Governor of Abia State Okezie Ikpeazu (PhD) has condoled with the family of His Majesty Eze Israel Nwabeke over the death of the traditional ruler, According to a press release signed by Barr. Onyebuchi Ememanka Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Governor Ikpeazu expressed shock because of the demise of the elder statesman and  pray  God to grant the deceased eternal rest and his family, associates, and well wishers the fortitude to bear this Irreparable loss.

The statement further reads

Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has expressed profound grief and sadness at the passing on to eternity of a distinguished Royal Father, His Majesty, Eze Sir Israel Nwabeke, the Okezuo of Njiko Umunna Autonomous Community, Osisioma Ngwa Local Government Area at the age of 90 years.

Governor Ikpeazu described the Late Traditional Ruler as an embodiment of integrity and uprightness, who brought great honor to public service through his many decades of service as a Teacher in several parts of the country and later as a Headmaster, Special Class.
According to the Governor, Eze Nwabeke left indelible footprints on the educational firmament of our land through his years of dedicated service which helped produce different caliber of individuals who today, serve our country in countless areas of professional endeavor.

Long before his ascension of the Royal Throne as the First Traditional Ruler of Njiko Umunna Community, Ikpeazu continued, Eze Nwabeke had established himself firmly as a first class Community Leader, Paramount Chief, Member and later President of the Customary Court, Osisioma many years ago.

Eze Nwabeke’s tenacity and solid parenting skills, Ikpeazu noted, resulted in ensuring that his own biological children turned out very successful and are plying their different callings as top professionals in different parts of the globe, including those at home who serve our people in different capacities, including the present General Manager of Enyimba International Football Club, Mr. Okey Nwabeke and a former Chief Whip of the Abia State House of Assembly, Hon. Dr. Ikechukwu Nwabeke, noting further that Eze Nwabeke left behind him, legacies which are imperishable.

Governor Ikpeazu is thankful to God for the life and times of the Late Royal Father and urges his children to keep aloft at all times, the flag of dedicated public service, integrity and tenacity; virtues that distinguished their late father.

Governor Ikpeazu, on behalf of his family, the Government and people of Abia State sends his deep condolences to the Nwabeke family, the people of Umuimo Village, Njiko Umunna Community, Osisioma Ngwa LGA and indeed the entire state, especially the Council of Traditional Rulers on the passage of this Royal Icon while praying God to accept his soul and comfort those he left behind.
