The newly elected Governor of Abia state, Dr. Alex Otti may have started the promotion of local content as he was seen with locally manufactured vehicle assembled by Innosons Motors, Nnewi, Anambra state during his swearing – in ceremony on Monday 29th of May, 2023.
Dr. Alex Otti was born on February 18, 1965 and was sworn in as the 5th democratically elected governor of Abia, after three attempts at the converted seat.
He is now one of the very few Nigerian governors that is using locally-made vehicles as official cars as seen during his inauguration on Monday, May 29.
Gov. Otti reportedly rode in an Innoson-based parade vehicle, to the admiration of Nigerians.
This is an indication he would follow the trajectory of Ex – Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu by promoting Made – In – Abia goods like Ikpeazu did all through his tenure
To underscore following this part, Gov. Alex Otti during his first speech as the Executive Governor of Abia state, announced to the teeming crowd of his intention to launch a N10 billion financing loan that is targeted at promoting Small and Medium Scale Enterprises as a way of empowering them for more efficiency and to in turn help reduce unemployment in Abia.
