Recall that penultimate week, www.newsmirrorng.com had exclusively reported the plan by Abia PDP Chieftain, Dr. Emeka Donald Wachuku, a strong supporter of PDP Presidential Candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar in the 2023 general elections, was set to dump party after 24 years. Reports reaching us with photo evidence has confirmed our rumours as Dr. Emeka Donald Wachuku has finally left the People’s Democratic Party( PDP) for All Progressives Congress ( APC).

Dr Wachuku, the MD/CEO ; Reeds Global Tech.Ltd, Management and Brokerage Consultants, Investors, Property Consultants, Farmers, Owner of Surf Android Tablets,Smart Watches and Smart Phones, IT and Security Gadgets based in Abuja, Federal Capital Territory, Nigeria is from Nbawsi Umuomainta, Abia state and has been playing politics at both the state and National level as a member of PDP for the past 24 years. He had at one time, contested for the National Organising Secretary of the People’s Democrstic Party ( PDP) but that bid was aborted with dialogue.

During the build – up to the 2023 general elections, Dr. Don Wachuku as he is popularly called, pitched tent with the Alhaji Atiku Abubakar Presidency Project, as well as the PDP state PDP Governorship project. He was seen every where canvassing support for PDP Candidates across all elections, especially for Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the PDP Presidential flag bearer and Abia PDP Governorship Candidate, Chief Okey Ahiwe.

He has been described by many as a jolly good fellow and a man that can break barriers, whose entrant into the All Progressives Congress (APC), will harvest supporters for the party. His defection to APC has confirmed our earlier reports as he has obtained the APC membership card at the ward level, Nbawsi, Umuomainta, Isiala Ngwa North, Abia state.

His defection coincided with the defection of many Abia PDP Chieftains to the APC, which includes;- Professor A.C.B Agbazuere, Barr. Eze Chikamnayo, Elder Godwin Nna, Hon. Uzo Azubuike, Chief Eze Nwanganga, Chief Sam Nwogu, Elder Godwin Nna, Chief Uzor Ihuka, Hon. Chimezie Okoronkwo and others
