When a rogue character is given the mantle of leadership,his first assignment will always be to paint others black in order to shift attention from his malfeasance.
He tries to shield himself from scrutiny by portraying others in bad light.
There’s nobody in Abia today that is not aware of the stupendous sleaze and havoc being wrought on Abia treasury.
From the IGR,to FAAC, and to allocations meant for our various Local Government Councils… only one man is in firm grip of all the resources without checks, without accounting procedures, without due processes.
The present government in Abia came prepared to lie to all of us.
The only insurance they have to shield them is the portrayal of Ikpeazu as the man to blame.
In 2015,Allex Otti and one Ezeji from Umuahia South cooked up mind boggling figures against Chief T.A.Orji in a petition to the EFCC.
I was called upon to sign the documents on the pretext that the figures were adduced from a painstaking investigation by a team of ‘world-class auditors’.
I couldn’t be persuaded and I refused to sign.
There’s no way a governor could pay salaries,run his office and still had that much to steal. And so I backed out without apologies.
And that marked the parting of ways between me,Otti and his camp.
I’m yet to see the progress made by Otti and Ezeji in prosecuting their enemy then… Chief T.A.Orji.
There’s something about Otti and jumboism. The bigger the figures the better for his nerves.
I don’t have the facts of the weighty allegations against the immediate past administration and cannot be in good stead to debunk it.
But I know that audited reports are equally sent to the party being investigated for his comments and inputs.
I am also certain that the disclosure at John Hopkins was not done in good faith.
But more importantly we know that Dr.Alex Otti is running an administration that is neck deep into mind boggling corruption.
I doubt if he can ever be a good candidate for fighting corruption.
He is focused on his vendetta against his predecessor. And that is what he should tell all of us.
This forensic rubbish is nothing but a Red Herring, and not everyone will be carried away.
