Mixed reactions have thrilled the recent proceedings in the election tribunal.
In Abia State it is now a drama as the lead counsel of Dr Alex Otti is using section 77 of the electoral act as a ground to nullify the cases of against his clients but is saying that it doesn’t count in the case of Chief Okey Ahiwe and Dr Alex Otti.

In the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal he agreed that breach of section 77(2)(3) also violates section 131(c) of the CFRN.
In Enugu State Election Tribunal in support of Peter Mba as lead counsel, he agrees that breach of Section 77(2)(3) also violates section 177(c) of the CFRN.
In Abia State Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency seat Election Tribunal as lead counsel, he agrees that breach of section 77(2)(3) also violates Section 65(2)(b) of the CFRN.
Recall that, Section 77 (1) (2) & (3) of the Electoral Act says a political party shall “ SHALL” maintain a register & SHALL make such register available to INEC not later than 30days before the date fixed for the party primaries, Congresses & Convention.
