Breaking… PH Rd: Police Charge MC Sweet to Court for Falsely Posting a Video that Ngwa People Demanded Compensation from Abia Government and Were Arrested by Governor Otti

The last has not been heard about the video by MC Sweet which recently went viral wherein he falsely said that the Ngwa people demanded money from the Government of Abia State as a precondition for the reconstruction of PH Road, Aba, as the Abia State Police Command today, Friday, 22nd December, 2023, arraigned him (MC Sweet) before the Aba South Chief Magistrates Court.

In the case between the Abia State Police Commissioner vrs MC Sweet, the police arraigned MC Sweet for spreading false information and cybercrime, an offence that is liable to two years imprisonment.

Answering questions from Chief Magistrate Erinna Enyeribe, MC Sweet apologized for his action and promised to make another video where he would apologize to Ngwa people for denigrating them through the video. The arraignment followed a petition written to the Abia State Police Commissioner by the Aba Ngwa People’s Forum.

Following the application for bail by Barrister I. E. C Alaribe, Chief Magistrate Erinna Enyeribe granted MC Sweet bail while the case was adjourned to February 29, 2024.

MC Sweet was arrested on Wednesday by the men of the Aba Area Command of the Nigeria police.
