In a bid to support traders who are interested in furthering their education but have been hindered by time constraints and other factors, the Rector and Executive members of Abia State Polytechnic and the Management Board of Ariaria International Market led by the Chairman, Hon Michael Chijioke Amaku on 29th March 2023 held a crucial meeting to discuss the creation of a program that will favor traders who wish to continue their education.

The proposed program would take the form and flexibility of an evening school, which would be accessible to traders after business hours. Additionally, there were discussions to set up an office in the market to help interested traders navigate the registration process and other school-related matters.

The Chairman of the Market Traders, Hon. Michael Chijioke Amaku, expressed his gratitude to the management of Abia State Polytechnic for their willingness to support the traders’ education, stating that it was a much-needed intervention that would benefit the entire market community.

According to Hon. Amaku, the program would not only provide an opportunity for traders to further their education, but it would also equip them with the necessary skills and knowledge to operate their businesses more efficiently and effectively, thereby boosting their income and contributing to the growth of the market.

Many traders in the market have welcomed this development, expressing their excitement at the prospect of having access to educational opportunities that would otherwise have been out of reach due to their busy schedules.

In conclusion, the proposed program is a significant step towards empowering traders in Ariaria International Market and helping them reach their full potential. It is hoped that this initiative will serve as a model for other institutions and organizations to follow, as they seek to create more opportunities for individuals to further their education and improve their livelihoods.
