The Edo State Taskforce Against Human Trafficking has arrested one Anthony Igbinogun and his wife Joy Umukoro, for selling their one-month-old baby to buy drugs.
The couple was connected to the baby’s buyer by a friend, James Precious, in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
The baby was sold for N1.6million.
The buyer and the sellers are to be arraigned and prosecuted.
