A businessman, Mallam Umar Tasiu, was allegedly flogged to death by his former in-laws in Minna, Niger State.
A neighbour told Daily Trust on condition of anonymity that the Al Azhar University, Egypt graduate had gone to see his children who live with his ex-wife at her father’s house.
“He went to see his two kids who are staying with his former wife in her father’s house. They had separated but the children are staying with their mother. He went to see them and his former in-laws who didn’t want him to come to their house tied and whipped him until he d!ed in their house. His c o rpse was brought back to his house on Saturday night and we buried him on Sunday at about 10am,” the source said.
