Today, 51 years ago, in Owrreinta Village Mbutu Amairinisii Ancient Kingdom, a financial mogul, Chief Obinna Eze Oriaku was born

Obinna Oriaku known for Breaking barriers and shattering the glass cellings was determined to succeed.

As a young man who was earnestly desirous for success, Chief Oriaku gained admission to the prestigious Abia State University in the department of Government and Public Administration now polarised in to Political Science and Public Administration where he graduated summa Claude

The young Oriaku passed through the tutelage of global renowned professors including Prof Hearts Ofoeze, Prof. O.O Okereke and Prof. Aja Akpuru Aja of blessed memory those erudite scholar shaped his worldview and taught him that nothing good comes easy.

After graduation, he served his motherland meritoriously in the National Youth Service (NYSC) he secured an employment at Platinum Habib Bank, there the moved to First Bank where he has been working till date.


In the Sphere of Politics, Obinna Oriaku was appointed the Commissioner of Finance under the immediate past Governor Okezie Ikpeazu during his stay in office Abia witnessed a prudent management of her resources and the state auditory was allowed for public scrutiny.

Oriaku, a chieftain of the APC contested in the governorshio primary election of All Progressives Congress (APC) .

In social life, to prove his sagacity, determination and consistency in his fight for a better Abia, he was giving a Chieftaincy title of Ekwedike ndi Ngwa by HRM Eze Eberechi Dick

Oriaku an advocate of good governance, due process crusader and youth mobiliser is happily married with four children.
