DELTA: Defence HQ releases names of military personnel killed

THE Defence Headquarters has revealed the names of the 17 military soldiers killed in an incident in Delta State.

Last week, military servicemen on a peace mission were slain in Okuama, a village in Delta State’s Ughelli South Local Government Area.

Days after the heinous murder, the Defence Headquarters announced the deaths of 17 people, including the Commanding Officer of the 181 Amphibious Battalion, two majors, one captain, and 12 battalion members.

“REST IN PEACE OUR FALLEN HEROES,” the Nigerian Army wrote on its X handle alongside a photo collage of the personnel this evening.

The Defence Headquarters gave the names of those killed as:

– Lt Col AH Ali, the Command Officer, 181 Amphibious Battalion, Nigerian Army.
