The People’s Democratic Party gubernatorial candidate, Chief Okey Ahiwe says his administration will evolve programmes and policies that would be applied in the agricultural sector to stimulate an agro-industrial revolution in the state if elected Governor.
Chief Ahiwe who disclosed this during a mega rally cum civic reception organized in his honour by the people of Ehi Na Uguru Osokwa Ward 5 in Isiala Ngwa South LGA, reiterated his determination to opening up rural communities and encourage agricultural technology to support farmers across the state.
The PDP governorship Hopeful warned them not to be deceived by the antics of political detractors who have nothing tangible to offer them but remain focused and ensure they cast their votes massively for him and their state House of Assembly candidate, Chief Rowland Chinwendu in this Saturday’s elections.
He appreciated the organizer of the civic reception, Dr Chris Nwagboso and the people of Ehi Na Uguru Osokwa Ward 5 for their sustained show of support and commitment towards actualizing his governorship aspiration and promised to deliver in all his campaign promises.
Also speaking, the member representing Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency, Chief Uko Nkole and a PDP elder statesman, Elder Godwin Nna disclosed that what the state needs now is a visionary and sound leader to drive the state economy hence the need for them to vote massively for Chief Okey Ahiwe for Governor and Chief Rowland Ceasar Chinwendu for Isiala Ngwa South State Constituency for quality representation.
In his speech earlier, the organizer of the rally and civic reception, Dr Chris Nwagboso said their decision to support Chief Okey Ahiwe is based on his character, experience, capacity and outstanding track records in all offices he had held sway in the past.
Contributing, the PDP Youth Leader in Isiala Ngwa South LGA, Chief Donatus Orji, the traditional prime Minister of Ehi Na Uguru ancient kingdom, Chief Paulson Anyim and the General Woman Leader, Mrs Charity Nwachukwu disclosed that Ehi Na Uguru is fully PDP and assured Chief Ahiwe of his victory at the polls.
The event featured prayers, decoration of Chief Okey Ahiwe by the people, distribution of bags of fertilizers and rice to the people among others.
