The Appeal Court sitting in Lagos has upheld the victory of Hon. Dennis Rowland Chinwendu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as the duly elected member of the Abia State House of Assembly for Isiala Ngwa South constituency.
The court dismissed the appeal brought by Dannie Ubani ( Manja) of the Labour Party (LP), saying that his prayers lacked merit.
The appellate court agreed with the ruling of the tribunal, which had earlier dismissed the petitions of Dannie Ubani (Manja) of the Labour Party, saying that the petitioner could not prove his case.
We applaud the judiciary once again for their learned, articulate and well-delivered judgement, which is a further affirmation of what we had already stated categorically and without equivocation, that the PDP overwhelmingly won the 2023 Isiala Ngwa South State Constituency election and Hon. Dennis Rowland Chinwendu is undoubtedly, the duly elected House Member of Isiala Ngwa South State Constituency.
