Foremost political structure, Abia Grassroots Movement which have it’s members across the 17 Local Government Areas of Aba yesterday endorsed Abia State PDP governorship candidate Chief Okey Ahiwe.
In a general assembly attended by a mammoth crowd of over 2000 members from various LGAs of Abia state, the group said having checked the antecedents, character and capacity of all the candidates, they have found and certified Chief Ahiwe as most suitable and qualified for the job.
In his speech the founder of Abia Grassroot Movement Chief Israel Amamze said that Chief Ahiwe is capable of steering the affairs of Abia State Government for a better tomorrow and called on the people to vote massively for the PDP.
Hon Amanze announced that the annual Grassroots subsidized fertilizer sales will take off immediately after the elections to enable all members to benefit and in the interest of food security in the country
Addressing the jubilant mammoth crowd, Rt. Hon. Uzor Azubuike, who represented Chief Okey Ahiwe urged members of Abia Grassroots Movement and other electorates in Abia state to come out in their numbers to vote Chief Okey Ahiwe
Other speakers who addressed the large crowd included all LGA chapter chairmen of the group and stakeholders including Hon RN Nji, Hon Caesar, Chief Chinatu Njoku, and many others
