Abia born Lagos Based Business man Donates Hummer Bus For Prof. Ikonne’s Governorship Projec

The massive support and endorsement of the Uche Ndi Abia project continues to attract the commitment of well – meaning Abians as Elder Dr Ishmael Okey Chigbu, a lagos based businessman and car dealer on Saturday 26th November 2022 donated a 14 seater Toyota Hummer bus to Prof Uche Ikonne as a show of his support to the Uche Ndi Abia project.

Presenting the beautifullly branded campaign bus, Dr Okey Chigbu who hails from Umuosu Nsulu in Isialangwa North LGA said that, though he is not a politician, he is greatly excited by Prof Ikonne’s mantra of ” Participatory Governance” in a TIGER ECONOMY.

Dr Chigbu who said his children were beneficiaries of Prof Ikonne’s efficiency in administration as Vice Chancellor of Abia State University, and thanked Abians for their show of support and display of solidarity for Prof Ikonne during the flag – off of his governorship campaign at Umuahia stadium on November 24, 2022.

Elder Chigbu called on all well – meaning Abians to come out and support the Uche Ndi Abia project, assuring that will never relent to offer his support until Prof Ikonne is sworn in as Governor.

Present to receive the guest were Rt. Hon Uzo Azubuike, Barr Stanley Ojigbo, Secretary of the Campaign Council, Dr Chikezie Uche Ikonne, Sir Chinedu Ugwuezi Ugoala, Dr Chinatu Njoku, Dr Ehiemere and Mr Chris Ugwumadu, amongst others

Reacting, the PDP governorship candidate Prof. Uche Ikonne thanked Dr Okey Chigbu for his gesture and assured him that his administration as Governor will build a people based greater and prosperous Abia where all will be happy and proud.


Prof. Ikonne thanked Abians at home and in diaspora for their massive support and called on Abia businessmen to get ready to bring their investments home to create wealth and employments for our youths.

He assured that the TIGER ECONOMY in a Participatory Governance will put power and wealth in the hands of the people and make Abia a destination of choice for Economic, Health and Social tourism.

Prof Ikonne concluded that ” together, we shall build a greater Abia”.
