The Program Manager Abia ADP Hon Chief Amanze Oke Orji Abia has distributed 40 knapsack spraying Machines and 120 liters of chemicals to 40 recently trained Extension workers at the ADP premises recently. This is in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, FMARD.
The beneficiaries were drawn from the ADP extension workers, LGA Agric Dept’s, commodity Associations and Private Sector Extension workers.
The distributed items serve as starter packs for the trained Extension workers to render services to farmers in their areas of operation.
In the same vein the Program Manager Hon Chief Amanze Israel, Oke Orji Abia has flagged off the construction of an Ultramodern Solar powered Agricultural dryer for Abia farmers at the premises of the ADP umuahia.
This project is in collaboration with the Nigerian Stored Products Research Institute NSPRI, Ilorin.
Speaking while flagging off the construction Chief Amanze informed Press men and the public that already 7 ADP staff have already been trained in Warri to man the project. He invited farmers from all over Abia to come with their grains, tubers, vegetables and every farm product that they need to dry decently without color changes assuring them the the CENTRE will be operational before the 3rd week of December 2021 and he also thanked Governor Okezie Ikpeazu for giving him the leverage and opportunity to work.
