Former Senator representing Abia Central in the upper legislative chamber, Dr. (Mrs) Nkechi Nwaogu has congratulated the Abia State Government, Christians in the State and Nigerians in general as they mark this year’s Easter celebration.
According to a statement by her aide on Media and Publicity, Victor Onyendi,
the Ex-lawmaker while congratulating Christians used the occasion to remind them of the reason of the season.
According to her, “the crucifixion of Christ on the Cross of Calvary is the highest sacrifice ever made for the atonement of our sins and His resurrection from death symbolizes that earthbound powers were no longer in charge.”
While congratulating Christians, she urged them to use this period of Easter which she said is a time of sober reflection to pray fervently for the peace, unity and stability of our country Nigeria.
