The members of the All Progresaives Congress(APC), Osisioma Ngwa LGA chapter today gathered at the residence of Senator Nkechi Nwaogu for the unification and the progress of the party in the Local Government Area.
Speaking during the meeting, Senator Nkechi Nwaogu said the major reason for the meeting is for the members of the APC in Osisioma Ngwa to come together as one to promote and consolidate the party. The quintessential legislature while thanking the members of the party for attending the meeting also frowned at the nonchalant attitude of some members, especially during the presidential election, wondering why a card carrying member of a party will not defend and protect the integrity of the party.
She informed the members that she is a proud member of the APC while encouraging the members of the party to eschew lukewarm attitude and be proud and worthy ambassadors of the APC.
Also speaking during the meeting, the National Welfare Secretary of APC Rt. Hon. Donatus Nwankpa said it was the right time for party members to show seriousness, saying the era of accomodating non performing members is over.
In his speech, a leader of the party in the Local Government Area, Hon. Chief Innocent Alozie advised party loyalists and leaders to shun favouritism and imbibe the culture of meritocracy which he said is the only thing that will encourage members and make the party to be successful.
In their contributions, candidates of the party for the 2023 State House of Assembly election for Osisioma Ngwa North, Hon. Obioma Ogbonna and that of Osisioma Ngwa South Hon.Charles Akoma appreciated Senator Nkechi Nwaogu and Hon. Donatus Nwankpa for their thoughtfulness in hosting the meeting and expressed their readiness in working assiduously for the party.
Other Speakers like Hon. Chimaobi Akwarandu, Mr Chinkata Ahulamba and Mrs Clara Nwaobilor thanked the leaders and expressed their confidence in the ability of Senator Nkechi Nwaogu to move the party forward.
In his vote of thanks, the Osisioma NgwaLocal Government Area APC Chairman, Chief Emma Nwauhara thanked the party members for honouring the invitation for the meeting and urged everyone to come together and work harmoniously for the party.
