It is another feather in Bishop Emeka Nwankpa’s cap as the Scottish South Ayrshire District nominates Bishop Emeka Nwankpa for the prestigious Robert Burns International Humanitarian Award.

The nomination is in recognition of Bishop Emeka Nwankpa’s unparalleled selfless service to humanity and philanthropism through the Bishop Emeka Nwankpa Foundation, which he has been doing for over 18 years.

The Robert Burns Humanitarian Award is a globally-respected award bestowed annually on a group or individual who shows selflessness and dedication in a bid to save, enrich and improve the lives of others through the protection and promotion of human rights and work to deliver social reform.

Named in honour of Scotland’s son, Robert Burns, this much sought-after humanitarian award applauds the efforts of people who bring hope and inspiration, often in desperate situations, and help change lives for the better.

In accepting the nomination, the revered cleric described the nomination as a call to greater service. He said that his service to humanity, which is his covenant with God, remains irrevocable.

While expressing his delight for the recognition and nomination, Bishop Nwankpa used the opportunity to invite widows in Abia State to the Bishop Emeka Nwankpa Foundation’s annual Widows-Must-Smile ceremony which is slated for Thursday, December, 2023 at his country home of Umukalu Ntigha in Isiala Ngwa North LGA of Abia State.
