A Social Commentator, public affairs analyst, and the Aba North LGA Coordinator, Tinubu/Shettima Grassroots Independent Presidential Campaign Council, Comrade Emmanuel Ukanwoko has applauded the nomination of the former Speaker, Abia state House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Martins Azubuike as a replacement for late Chief Friday Nwosu as the National welfare Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Reacting to the nomination, Comrade Ukanwoko told news men in Aba, that there was wild jubilation in Abia APC the day the news of the nomination filtered into the state.
Comrade Ukanwoko said; “Rt. Hon. Azubuike is well positioned to handle the office of the National Welfare Secretary effectively based on his cognate experience as a lawyer, three term law maker in Abia state House of Assembly, Speaker, Abia state 6th Assembly, National Deputy Chairman, Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures in Nigeria, Deputy Governorship candidate of APC in 2019 Governorship election, the Abia state Coordinator, Tinubu/Shettima Grassroots Independent Presidential Campaign Council (ICC), Co-Director, Humanitarian Directorate, Project 774 for Tinubu/Shettima, the Abia State Coordinator BATS – Vanguard amongst other top party positions both in Abia and Nigeria, he concluded ”
Comrade Ukanwoko thanked the Abia APC Stakeholders for their choice of Azubuike who he described as a unifier, a man of intellectual sagacity, disciplined, respectful and assured that his emergence will add value to APC in Abia state because of his impeccable character and that he is loved by Abians and can attract people of high repute into the party.
“Hon. Azubuike is hardworking and a committed, loyal party man. He has been playing a frontal role to bring peace and harmony to Abia APC, infact, he is a peace maker and deserve a place at the National working Committee of our great party.
“His support and role towards the victory of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu during the 2023 general elections is legendary, despite strong opposition in the south East, Comrade Ukanwoko, added”.
Contributing, an APC Chieftain, Hon. D. O. Njoku said, ” under the Leadership of the former Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly and Deputy Governorship Candidate of the APC in 2019 elections, he exhibited high level of leadership pedigree, not just as a quintessential law maker but his coordination of ICC and other structures programmes and activities during the last 2023 genaral elections was top – notch.
He expressed unreserved confidence that given the position of National welfare Secretary of APC, he will perform excellently well.
Hon. Njoku cautioned rumour mongers and those carrying campaign of calumny against Rt Hon. Azubuike to desist from their ” pull – him – down syndrome, stressing that, it is laughable for someone to insinuate that someone who has won election three times to became a State House of Assembly Member, and would later become a Speaker of a State House of Assembly, APC Governorship Aspirant in 2019 and later Deputy Governorship candidate of a great party like APC in same 2019, will not add value to APC.
