Having beaten Cameroon 2-0, Nigeria can now look forward to a meeting with Angola in the quarter-finals in the Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.
In the Saturday’s last 16 March, Ademola Lookman scored twice to make Nigeria earned a place in the quarter-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations with a 2-0 win over Cameroon.
It was a comfortable win as the former Everton, Fulham and Leicester midfielder, Lookman sealed the spot in the last eight.
He had netted a goal early in the match
and added a second late in the contest, one in each half to help make Nigeria advance.
Lookman secured victory with a tidy finish from Calvin Bassey’s cross in stoppage-time.
