The Chairman, House Committee on Public Service, Abia State House of Assembly (ABHA), Erondu Uchenna Erondu Jnr has flagged off the construction of Osaa Ukwu community Civic Hall.


The member representing Obingwa-West State constituency in Abia State House of Assembly (ABHA) who performed the ground-breaking ceremony today at Ama Ukwu Osaa, Obingwa Local Government Area (LGA), said that the constituency project is aimed at enhancing community infrastructure, foster unity and development within Osaa Ukwu autonomous community and beyond.


Represented by Hon. Monday Orji, the former Chairman, Obingwa LGA further disclosed that the project was in line with the promises he made during the electioneering campaign, maintaining that he would never fail his people.

He urged them to keep faith with him and his party; People’s Democratic Party (PDP), promising to attract more democracy dividends to his people through collaborative efforts.


Contributing during the foundation laying ceremony, the Director-General IGODO IGWE Campaign Team, Hon. Chidiebere Ihinyirimadu (Jato) applauded the Uhie-born legislator for fulfilling one of his campaign promises made to the people, noting that he has made the party proud in Obingwa, Abia state and Nigeria at large.

Meanwhile, the PDP Chairman, Obingwa LGA chapter, Chief Seth Agomuo, commended the Abia lawmaker for the constituency project, adding that it is a landmark and people’s-centred project.

In his speech, a former Abia state Commissioner and the immediate past General Manager, Abia State Passenger Integrated Manifest and Safety Scheme (ASPIMSS), Hon. Ezinwa Abiri, who lauded the lawmaker’s strides in his constituency, stressed that he has performed creditably in the past one year in office.

In his vote of thanks, Chief Levi Owunna thanked the lawmaker for the project, praying for God’s blessings and preservation upon the lawmaker and his household.

The foundation laying ceremony was graced by stakeholders, PDP faithfuls and community leaders in the constituency.
