PROSPECTIVE students and their parents have been visiting Hensard University, Toru-Orua as the university’s Foundation School shows off its facilities for the basic studies programmes that start in January 2024. They are impressed.
The one-year programme in arts, social and management sciences, physical and natural sciences to prepare candidates for JAMB, GCE, NECO, and direct admission to undergraduate studies.
“Students admitted to our Foundation School would enjoy the same world-class facilities that are available to our undergraduates,” Hensard University Vice-Chancellor Prof Dileep Kumar M., said.
“Our staff, our science laboratories, medical services, and the university’s secured environment are ready to serve them. We are prepared to give them the best pre-university education in setting that prioritise their success.”
Among the key subjects the foundation programme covers are English, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, English Literature, Government, History, Economics, Accounting, Agricultural Science, Geography, and Civics. These taught by teachers who who and experienced and versed in meeting the needs of students whether as groups or individuals.
The university has been receiving prospective students, their parents, and guardians who visit to have first hand experience of the experience of the facilities, Prof Kumar said. “Hensard University staff are available to take them on tours of the learning facilities, medical centre and accommodation,” the VC said.
“We welcome them to education at Hensard. We welcome them to the Hensard advantage.”
