It was a glorious moment in Asa North Community of Ukwa West on Sunday,the 7th of January,2024 as Asa North Community League ended with jubilation with Omumazor Village lifting the trophy,Obingwu Village took the second position, while Umuekechi Village took the 3rd Position.
The Donor of the Cup, Engr.Uruakpa Chinwendu Sterling in his speech(before the commencement of the match) addressed the teams on having a peaceful match, that they should play the game as brothers, hinting that the essence of the tournament is to bring the entire community in absolute unity during the festive season, that they should not play to harm or cause any injury to each other.
The Football Planning Committee headed by Elder Ephraim Nwala recognized the place of Highest goal Scorer and the Best Player.
At the end of the entire tournament,Pius Anyanwu of Obingwu received the award of highest goal scorer, while
Colins Ejike of Omumazor received the award of best player of the Tournament.
