Born on 26th December 1956 in Umuire Village, Eziama Ntigha Autonomous Community of Isiala Ngwa North LGA, Abia State. hiwe is a BSc holder in Political Science from the prestigious University of Lagos and as an icing on the cake, Chief Ahiwe proceeded to the prestigious Abia State University Uturu where he obtained his MSc from the same field of study.
