COURT RESTRAINS AMAEWHULE, OTHERS FROM PARADING AS LAWMAKERS

A High Court sitting in Port Harcourt has issued an order of interim injunction to restrain Rt Hon.Martin Amaewhule and 24 others from parading as members of the Rivers State House of Assembly.

The court presided over by Justice Charles N. Wali, also restrain them from meeting or sitting at the Auditorium of the House of Assembly Quarters that is located off the Port Harcourt -Aba Road Expressway.

Rt Hon Amaewhule and the 24 others, the court order stated can also not use any other place whatsoever to carry out or purportedly carry out any legislative business of the Rivers State House of Assembly.

The court order pointed out to the fact that their legislative seats have been declared vacant and it will remain so pending the hearing and determination of the Motion on Notice.
