The All Progressives Congress have continued to solidify on it’s acceptability by the people of Abia.
The recent development is the defection of the immediate past Executive Chairman of Ukwa West LGA, Hon.Chief Okey Kanu and a former Executive Chairman of Ukwa West LGA,Chief Felix Ebere.
Chief Okey Kalu officially declared his decision today to join the All Progressives Congress at the Country Home of Ozaa Ukwu APC Ward Chairman, Chief Levi Dike in Umuebulungwu, Asa
Chief Okey was boldly received by the LGA Party Chairman, Elder Uju Nwarie who welcomed him and his followers with overwhelming joy, admonished him to feel free and work with the party members that Ozaa Ukwu Ward and Ukwa West APC has increased in number and capacity by his entrance into the party.
In his response, Chief Okey said that the All Progressives Congress is a Party to beat, that he came with all his mind after due consultations,and that he has seen the right dividend of Democracy coming from the APC led government to the people.
He added that he will humbly work together with the members of the party respect the leadership of the party and work in line with the Constitution of the party.
Some Leaders of the party who received him are: Elder Uju Nwarie(APC LGA Party Chairman), Hon Mezie Tony Nwubani, Hon.Ezedinachi Kanu, Chief Allwell Izuwa, Sir Bright Agu,Pastor Steve Nwankwo,Chief Chima Koko,and host of other leaders and party mrmbers.
In similar development, another former Chairman Ukwa West LGA Chief Felix Ebere has also defected to the APC.
His reasons was that he has seen the party as a the one that has what it takes to move the nation forward through the president renewed Hope Agenda and Developmental stride of NDDC to Abia and Asa people through the representative of Chief Dr.Eruba Dimgba
