Breaking : Judicial Panel Issues Arrest Warrant on former Accountant General of the State, Kelechi Imeoria

The Chairman Judicial Panel of inquiry on the recovery of Government Property’s and Funds Justice Florence Doruoha-Igwe Rtd has issued a bench warrant on the immediate Past Accountant General of the State,Mr Kelechi Imeoria over his failure to appear and produce the Toyota Black Fortuna Jeep allegedly to have bequeathed to him by the immediate Past Governor Dr Okezie Ikpeazu through the Protocol Unit Government House.

Justice Doruoha-Igwe Rtd before adjourning the matter to 9/2/2024 directed that Mr Imeoria should be arrested and produce alongside the said vehicle for panel’s inspection.
She said that, there is no reasons or exemption letter from Mr Imeoria or his Council Mrs Esther Wosu that they would not be able to appear before the panel.
It would be recalled that the last appearance of Mr Imeoria before the panel was on 26/1/2024

Meanwhile the the Clerk of Abia State House of Assembly Sir John Pedro Irokansi yesterday and Management of ABSU led by the VC Prof Maxwell Ogbulu yesterday appeared before the Judicial Panel of inquiry on the recovery of Government Property’s and Funds over the ongoing investigation of the activities in their offices
Speaking while being crossed examined by the panel,Sir Irokansi said that he noticed between January to May 2023 the State Civil Service addresses him as Clerk cum Permanent Secretary Abia State House of Assembly adding that his initial nomenclature even tii now is Clerk of the House.
Sir Irokansi said that the Departmental minutes readings taken by one Ijeomah Agomuo presided over by him allegedly to have addressed him as Clerk cum Permanent Secretary was false while the picture he took together with some bodies of Permanent Secretaries are his colleague’s in Public Service.

Our Correspondent reports that the panel also entertained a petition filed by Some teachers of International Secondary School ABSU over improper placement of their salaries at the point of transfer to the University, Suspension without pay and alleged plans by the ABSU Management to offer the college for sale or lease to a private investors contrary to it’s original status as a public Institute while the petitioners prayed the panel to intervene on their matter
