Fully armed robbers on Thursday evening invaded 2 banks in Anyigba, killing 2 policemen and carted away some money.
According to an eyewitness, armed robbers raided two banks, killed two policemen in Anyigbaaccount, and stormed First and Access banks, where they carted away yet-to-be-ascertained sums of money.
The heavily armed robbers stormed the two banks simultaneously and began sporadic shooting in broad daylight.
As of the time of filling out this report, the number of casualties had yet to be confirmed.
All efforts to get confirmation from Kogi State Police Command Public Relations Officer SP William Aya proved abortive, as he was not picking up calls put to his phone.
