BREAKING: Abia YPP frown at appointment of its State Chairman, Nelcin Uluocha by Labour Party, says SWC will determine his fate

The Young Progressives Party in Abia State has received with missed feelings the unfortunate news of the recent appointment of our State Chairman as Senior Special Assistant to the Transition Committee Chairman of the Umuahia North LGA, a development that has been misconstrued as the extinction of the party.

A statement released by Hon. Bestman Eruba,YPP Abia State Publicity Secretary says categorically that the Young Progressives Party is not in any officical alliance with the Labour Party and doesn’t intend to do so in the nearest future. We are a party with distinct manifesto, ideology and principles as ennuaciated in our constitution accordingly the decision of an individual member of the party who in consideration of his private reasons has acted personally cannot be deemed as the collapse of the most prosperous party in Abia State.

The statement further stated consequently that the State Working Committee will consult with leaders of our party to review the development and take appropriate action (s) in order to defend the image and the integrity of the party pursuant to the provisions of the party’s constitution.

” We also wish by this release to inform the general public, our teaming supporters and members across the country that the Young Progressives Party in Abia State is still very much intact and nothing can diminish our strength”

” We appreciate the avalanche of inquiries by the media, the outpouring of love and the solidarity of the good people of Abia State who massively voted for our party in the just concluded 2023 general elections and urge them to keep faith with the Young Progressives Party as we rededicate our passion to serve the people”, the statement concluded.
