Abia Grassroot Movement with heavy heart has expressed shock over the death of Prof. Uche Ikonne, the PDP Gubernatorial Candidate in Abia State.
According to a press release made available, the organization deeply regretted the untimely demise of Prof Ikonne at a time the state and country needed his services the most.
The group said that they are bewildered by the death which they said is a necessary and inevitable described Prof as a man of many paths whose memories will forever remain evergreen, furthermore as a mark of respect, Abia State Grassroot Movement used this medium to announce the suspension of their Annual General Meeting AGM scheduled for today till further notice.
They prayed that God will grant him eternal rest and his family,associates and well wishers the fortitude to bear the loss
