The Abia State PDP governorship Candidate in the 2023 general elections, Chief Okey Ahiwe, has congratulated elder statesman and respected political leader, Chief Isaac Ogbonna (Akuruo Ulo) who marks his 77th birthday anniversary today.
In his congratulatory message to Chief Ogbonna, Chief Ahiwe described him as “a man of incredible humility, candour and unwavering commitment to fostering the ideals of human welfare.”
Chief Ahiwe further remarked that “as a founding member of PDP in Abia State and former elected Chairman of Obingwa LGA, Chief Isaac Ogbonna demonstrated a clear understanding of the physical and human needs of his environment, and the supremacy of service above self. He therefore established solid foundations for the future of the LGA. These significant values built for him an unimpeachable reputation that preceded his political ascension in later years to serve Abia creditably in other dimensions, including as Special Adviser to the Governor on Inter-State Relations. In every station, he planted indelible footprints of service for which I am convinced that, on the merit of his measurable achievements, he has earned a conspicuous position in the leadership Hall of Fame that has eluded many politicians.”
While thanking God for Chief Ogbonna’s life, Chief Ahiwe prayed that God would reward him with more blessings of longevity, sound health and the sublime capacity to keep serving as a guiding compass to younger politicians.
