Operatives of the Bayelsa State Volunteers on Thursday morning, apprehended a 25year old youth for allegedly stealing a diesel and Gas at the Zoraz business environment in Otiotio, Yenagoa.
The suspect identified as Ibrahim Abdullahi from Kaduna State in the northern part of Nigeria and his cohorts was said to have been on the surveillance list of the security outfit due to reported cases of their criminal activities in the aforementioned area.
Luck ran out of the said Ibrahim today as spies working with the Bayelsa Volunteers from the area quickly draw the attention of men on duty to report the suspicious activities and the incident to men on duty for further action.
Confirming the arrest, Coordinator of the Bayelsa State Volunteers, Chief Oyinkuro Lucky Asanakpo has assured the public particularly the neighborhood that others will be arrested in a follow up operation.
He said the suspects had been handed over to the Operation Doo-Akpo in order for them to take over the investigation and ensure diligent prosecution of the suspect.
