Abia State University has commenced Digital Reconciliation of Final year Degree Results, thus eliminating all forms of manual reconciliation and its attendant challenges.
This is no mean achievement by the Visionary and Result-oriented Administration of the Digital Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Uche Eleazer Ikonne.
Recall, that at the inception of the present University Administration in 2015, the Story of Reconciliation of Results and Clearance were not palatable, as budgets made by students for them sometimes range more than the sessional school fees.
However, with the strengthening of the system to monitor these activities and a Road map for full automation of Examinations and Records, our story has indeed changed.
The merits inherent in the automation of Exams and Records of the University cannot be over emphasized and include the following:
? Early release of results
? Reconciliation made easy, without errors
? Smart online transcripts
? High ranking of the University portal
? Reduction of Human interface in processing results
? Prompt collection of Degree certificates
? Many other Advantages.
Graduates of the University can now conveniently collect their Degree Certificates, verify their Results and access their Transcripts anywhere in the world, on the payment of Thirty thousand naira (N30,000) only, for both Local and International transcripts.
These fees are very moderate, compared to what obtains in other similar Universities in Nigeria, for Services.
The Administration of the Quintessential and Students-friendly Vice-Chancellor, Distinguished Professor E. Uche Ikonne, should be commended for the elimination of all forms of exploitation and illegal payment of unapproved fees by Students and Graduates of the University.
Therefore, any allegation on the contrary, calculated to misrepresent the enviable reputation of the University Administration.
