The Abia State PDP 2023 governorship candidate, Chief Okey Ahiwe has congratulated former Abia State governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu on his induction as Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (NSBMB).
Chief Ahiwe remarked in his congratulatory message that Dr. Ikpeazu is one of the few distinguished professionals who did not allow their period of service in the political front to erase their professional significance.
According to him, “Dr. Ikpeazu has been a committed professional, teacher and researcher who, even while serving as governor, took time-off to teach physically in classrooms and through remote means during the COVID-19 lockdown era.
“Having obtained his Doctorate Degree in Biochemical Pharmacology at age 30 in 1994, his passion for knowledge and logical foundations as a scientist strengthened the ethical profundity of his thoughts and actions, and produced in him a philosopher-king whose achievements can never be supplanted or obliterated in the annals of history. His conferment with the prestigious NSBMB Fellowship further validates his pedigree as an iconic professional and, in my view, is a call to service in higher dimensions. I congratulate him on this exceptional milestone.”
Chief Ahiwe expressed belief that Dr. Ikpeazu would be honoured with greater laurels and recognition in due time, while wishing him more splendid achievements and God’s continued protection in the future.
