The 5 dead bodies have been finally recovered from the site where the three story building collapsed at Obingwu Asa in Ukwa West LGA of Abia State. The incident which happened at about after 11:am today and evacuation process started at about after 12:pm with the help of the state Government prompt arrangements from three excavators standby, the emergency ambulance, the fire service, etc. ended at about 10:45 pm.
It was gathered that the 5 people who were buried in the house that sank and collapsed at Obingwu Asa Ukwa west L.G.A in Abia state yesterday are workers from Cotonou.
Most people who were at the scene yesterday complained of the substandard materials used by the engineer, many people said that the rods used for the building are too small to stand such a building.
As at the time I left, the officers of the Nigerian police force, The Abia state vigilante group, a truck I guess belonged to fire fighters, Ambulance and some other officials were there. I also heard that excavators came when I left, I will check back today to to see for myself.
