“Violence broke out in Igangan community after Igboho’s visit” – Oyo Commissioner of Police

The Oyo state commissioner of police, Ngozi Onadeko, has disclosed that state of lawlessness which was recorded in Igangan community of Ibarapa local government area of Oyo state was as a result of Sunday Ighoho’s visit. According to CP Ngozi Onadepo, Sunday’s visit ended the peaceful nature of Igangan community because his visit made some youths to take law into their own hands.

The Commissioner of police, Ngozi Onadepo, vowed that all the masterminds of the attack carried out on Fulani community in Igangan community will be arrested very soon. She also promised that the Oyo state police command has zero tolerance for any form of lawlessness. Ngozi Onadepo said that the Oyo state police command are already investigating the incident which occured in Igangan community.

Remember that Sunday Igboho visited Igangan community on 22nd January 2021. Shortly after the visit of Sunday Ighoho, some unidentified youths went on a rampage with different weapons and destroyed some properties in Igangan. During the public disturbance, a police officer was seriously injured while the hoodlums attacked a Fulani community located in Igangan community.
