The Program Manager Abia ADP and Board of Trustees member representing South East and South South, Jon Amanze Israel, Oke Orji Abia, has saluted the central Bank of Nigeria CBN, for the pivotal role it is playing in ensuring food security in Nigeria through her numerous farmers intervention packages.
Chief Amanze made this state while addressing Radio Nigeria after attending the flag off of the first Maize Pyramid in Katsina , Katsina state. He praised the CBN for rising to the occasion of bridging the demand and supply gap in Agric production and for introducing off takers to ensure that farm products are not wasted as well as funding the farmers through provision of inputs and capacity building.
He appealed to the Fed government to tackle insecurity so the CBN interventions will yield the desired results.
Chief Amanze attended the event along with directors of CBN, Maize Association officials and officials of Fed Min of Agriculture.
