A medical doctor, identified as Koji has been; declared guilty by the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN), for surgically cutting off; the kidney of Isa Hamma, (now deceased) without informing him about the nature of the operation.
Striking Koji’s name off the MDCN register, Prof. Abba Hassan, the chairman of the Tribunal sitting of MCDN declared him guilty of gross negligence and professional misconduct.
Dr. Koji, who has been; in practice(housemanship) from 2012 to 2016 performed an operation on Hamma without enlightening him first on the risks involved in the operation before carrying out the operation
In the course of the operation,the medical doctor, Dr. Koji mistakenly cut off Hassan‘s kidneys.
