The CAMA bill was signed into law on the 7th of August, 2020. Since this took place, several persons have raised an eye brow against some sections of it. Especially the section which empowers the body above the judiciary.

This law also was extended to religious bodies, hence, the clergy took time to register their displeasure. Some of which were Bishop David Oyedepo, Apostle Johnson Suleman and so on.

Moreso, the founder of Salvation ministries, Pastor David Ibiyeomie took out time to give his perspective on the new CAMA law.

He started by saying that Nigeria is a funny country. He went further to say that a country that has no respect for the judiciary is heading for a doom. As powerful as Donald Trump, he is still checked by the supreme court of America, but Nigeria has no respect for the law.

He assured the congregation that there is no law against the church that can stand.

He further asserted that any leader who will last long on seat must avoid religion and ethnicity, hence, daring the church is daring your life.

He emphasized that the church is too big for any mortal man to dare. It is cow law not “CAMA”, but “NAMA”.

The cleric also buttressed that the prayers of the church is what is holding Nigeria together, in that, if one remove christianity from Nigeria, then doom is inevitable.
