The PDP Deputy Governorship candidate for Abia State, Hon. Barr. Okey Igwe says Professor Ikonne’s agenda would be anchored on industrialization in order to grow the economy and improve upon the giant strides of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu.

revealed that the incoming administration of Professsor Ikonne would put Abia on a faster lane of development and give it wholistic quantum leap in infrastructure, with construction of interchange (flyover) where necessary to ensure perennial gridlock at certain spots in the State become history.
He informed that Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has given the incoming Ikonne’s administration a solid foundation, especially in power generation through partnership with geometrics, ongoing Enyimba Economic City project, infrastructural development among others. He further reiterated that their administration would entrench developmental projects in all sectors of the economy with its TIGER Economic policy thrust, using Trade, Industrialization, Good participatory governance and Rural development as template
The incoming Deputy Governor dismissed the unfounded statements from emergency politicians in Abia that the PDP is not campaigning and said that it is rather the PDP that is out there campaigning and talking to the real people of the State. He added that the PDP had earlier carried out rallies in all the political wards and LGAs in the State and would begin another turn, saying that responses from the electorates are encouraging. He appealed to all Abians and residents to vote PDP candidates to ensure a smart Abia is achieved.
