“I want to thank you all for honouring our invitation and making out time to our last respect to our father and mother”.

“Igbo withstand death and are not threatened by it. That is why we have names in Igbo like Onwubiko, Onwugbahara. But, there’s a certain name Igbo have given to death which is Onwuamagi- egbu (death knows not how to kill ) and this name is related to our gathering”.

“If death knew how to kill, could it have killed two persons simultaneously?”
“However, we’re Ndi Igbo and we serve God and it shall be well with us, in Jesus’ name”.
“Also, Ndi Igbo bear the name, Onwuegbula and, therefore, death shall take us anymore”.
“The same legs that have brought you here shall take you back to your various homes. And we are saying that it shall be well with you all both men and women”.
“And I pray for you all that the blessings which you have received here both the once that shall be given to you at Afaraukwu (Late King’s palace) shall accompany you home.

Meanwhile, Abaribe who was in company with Dr. Peter Obi and Sen. Victor Umeh received both a clapping and standing ovation from the people, as he described the Igbo race as a courageous set of people who do not shiver nor quiver in spite of all odds.
