The political activities in Abia state has gotten to a melting pot as most gubernatorial aspirants for Abia governorship seat across party line have dumped their platforms, citing imposition.

The worst hit are the ruling People’s Democratic party, (PDP), All Progressives Congress,(APC), and the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).

As at last count, Sen. Enyinnaya Abaribe, Chief Ncheta Elvis Omerekpe, Engr. Enyinnaya Nwafor and there are indications that, other aspirants under PDP, are not likely to participate in the gubernatorial primary election of PDP slated for today May 25, 2022.

Our source gathered that Dr. Uche Ogah, has been offered the choice of producing the Deputy Governorship Candidate under Dr. Alex Otti arrangement.

Other arrangements on the cards are:- The Deputy Governor, Sir Ude Okochukwu may likely opt for the House of Representatives seat for Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency, Hon. Darlington Nwokocha, will likely pick the ticket for Abia Central Senatorial District under the arrangement, Hon. Ginger Onwusibe, is considered for House of Representatives for Isiala Ngwa Federal Constituency, and Hon. Daniel Ubani(Manga) for House of Representatives.

The likes of Sen. Enyinnaya Abaribe, Engr. Enyinnaya Nwafor, Chief Ncheta Elvis Omerekpe are said have been contacted but are yet to make their stand known as at press time.
