Notable dignitaries are present during the funeral of Dr. Herbert Onyewumbu Wigwe CFR, former CEO of Access Bank, his wife Chizoba and son, Chizi they are His Excellency, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Senator Douye Diri, Pastor Eno Umo, former Minister of Transportation Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, Senator Aminu Tambuwal, Peter Obi, Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi, Minister of the FCT, Nyesom Wike, Senator Douyi Diri, Aliko Dangote, HRH Muhammadu Sanusi II, Gov. Alex Otti, Gov. Dapo Abiodun, former Senate President Bukola Saraki, Gov. Babajide Sawno-Olu
The service is ongoing nat R.C.C.G Lion of Judah Parish, Isiokpo,Ikwere LGA Government Area of Rivers State venue of the funeral service for the former Chief Executive Officer of Access Bank Plc, Dr Herbert Wigwe, his wife, Doreen, and son, Chizzy.
The state Commissioner of Police, Olatunji Disu, led security men to the venue.
Also, members of the clergy, traditional rulers from the Omoeke, Wigwe’s hometown and monarchs from Isiokpo in general are already seated.
Meanwhile there is security beef up within Isiokpo and it’s surroundings.
Family members and friends, had on Friday, attended the Christian wake organised in honour of the deceased in the community.
Wigwe, his wife, son, and a former Group Chairman of Nigerian Exchange Group, Abimbola Ogunbanjo, died on February 9, 2024, in a helicopter crash that occurred near a border town between California and Nevada, United States.
