Professor Ogbulu who gave the charge during the induction/swearing-in ceremony of graduating Medical Doctors of the University held at the University Auditorium commended them for working hard to make the University and their parents proud and urged them to go into the world, conquer and contribute to the development of the University.

The Vice-Chancellor reassured that ABSU will continue to produce quality Medical Doctors that can compete with their counterparts all over the world and thanked the visitor to the University Governor Okezie Ikpeazu for his support which has enabled ABSU to excel in all fields of academics.

Also Speaking, the Registrar, Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria, Dr T.A.B. Sanusi reminded them that their new positions remain a call to serve and made it known that the council will continue to protect Doctors as well as sanction any medical Doctor found in an unethical practice.

In his address, the Provost College of Medical and Health Sciences Professor Stephen Onwere said they are sending another batch of 77 medical Doctors into the field of medical service and thanked Governor Okezie Ikpeazu for reconstructing the road leading to ABSUTH as well as the Vice-Chancellor Professor Onyemachi Ogbulu for his continuous support to the college of medicine.

In her speech, the overall Best Graduating Medical Doctor, Dr Ngozika Chiemeka thanked the management and staff of Abia State University and their parents for laying a good educational foundation for them and promised to keep the flag flying.

Highpoints of the induction /swearing-in ceremony were the administration of induction oaths to the graduands by the Registrar Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria Dr TAB Sanusi and the presentation of awards to the best performing medical graduands in the various department
