The entire staff and management of Abia State Polytechnic Aba, has applauded Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu, the Governing Council led by the Chairman, Elder John Nwangborogwu and school Rector, Prof. Okorie Kalu Osonwa as the elated citadel of learning witnessed another phase of accreditation from National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) in line with its requirements for Polytechnic programmes in Nigeria.

The exercise which took place from
Tuesday 22nd March through Friday 25th March 2022 recorded a very huge success.

The team led by Engr. Dr. Item Ukpai on arrival were welcomed to the Polytechnic by the Rector Prof. Okorie Kalu Osonwa, other members of Management, Deans of Schools, Directors and Members of the Academic Board.

In his welcome address, , the Rector of Abia state polytechnic, Prof. Okorie kalu Osonwa, thanked God for their safe arrival and expressed the readiness of the various Departments for the accreditation exercise.

Responding, a member of the team, Alhaji Muhammed Mustapha, the Deputy Director of programmes, at NBTE advised the Heads of Departments of Abia Polytechnic to be open and make available all the facilities and equipments to the team, and emphasized that the team are on a mission to build the Polytechnic’s image.

At the end of the excercise which lasted for 4 days, the team expressed satisfaction with the school over
the accreditation exercise, which in their observation and preliminary report, recorded a huge success

The NBTE Director of Programmes, Arc. Ogoh Mgbede while handing over the team reports to the Rector, Prof. Osonwa, congratulated him, the Governing counsel, the staff and management of the school, expressing optimism that their visitation has recorded a huge success that will add value to the school and boost her image as well as the school population.
